Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first time here, welcome! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see what we are casing (copy and share everything) today? If you haven’t, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
I love that we have sketches to follow!! It just makes it that much easier to create, especially when you’re mojo is missing! And I love the sample, in fact, I came really close to just copying it. But I decided to branch out a little. I followed the measurements in the sample for all of my layers thought.
I decided to go with the Cup of Christmas bundle for my stamp set and chose the Night Before Christmas DSP. Such a cute pack! My card base is in Mossy Meadow and was left over from a class that I had prepared. I cut the layers and to flag the end of the Very Vanilla tag I used the Tailored Tag punch. It works really well for larger tags. I stamped my sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and glued it right to the small layer of DSP. I glued the larger DSP layer to the card base. Before I added my sentiment layers, I wrapped a piece of the Mossy Meadow twine from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo and tied it in a bow and then added it to the card front with dimensionals. Next I cut a cup in Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then the poinsettia layer in Very Vanilla. I glued them together and then added them to the card front with dimensionals. To give it a little sparkle, I added some of the Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots and called it done.
What do you think? The same, yet different, right? Now it’s your turn. Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create the card just like the sample, or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing, it’s all up to you! If you aren’t a member of the FB Group yet, that’s okay, just request to join. We would love to have you play along with us. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!
