Hello and welcome to the last CASE-ing Tuesday of September! If this is your first time here, welcome and be sure to join my email list! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see what we are casing (copy and share everything) today? If not, here’s the sample and the sketch for this week’s challenge:
Isn’t that card gorgeous? As you can tell from my take, I changed it up a bit. I turned it to a portrait style card and used my Product of the Week, the Harvest Hellos Bundle. My measurements are are the same with the exception of the piece of Designer Series Paper from the Come to Gather pack, which is cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″.
I started by stamping the pumpkin and the leaves in Tuxedo Black Memento ink so that I could color them with the Stampin’ Blends, which are our alcohol markers that come in a light and a dark shade of most of our exclusive colors. I colored the pumpkin with the Pumpkin Pie combo and the leaves with the Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and the Daffodil Delight combo markers and just a touch of the Light Cherry Cobbler marker on one of the leaves. I punched out the pumpkin and added a punch stem in Soft Suede cardstock with the coordinating Apple Builder Punch, and then glued them together with a Mini Glue Dot. Then I cut out the leaves with my Paper Snips. Next I cut out the Stitched Nested Die that that matched the measurements to the sketch. I cut off the top and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink about an inch from the cut. I glued it to the DSP, and then both to the card front. I gauged where the pumpkin would go and stamped one of the curly vines, also in Early Espresso ink. I added the pumpkin with dimensionals and one of the leaves with a Mini Dimensional. Then I added the other two leaves with more Mini Dimensionals. Next I added some Wink of Stella to the leaves and pumpkin, sprinkled on some of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones and called it done. I think it’s a cute fall card, what do you think?
