Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first visit here, welcome!! And be sure to join my email list to keep up with all of our scrappy news! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see the sample we’re casing today? If not, here’s the sample and the sketch for your to follow:
Don’t you just love that little piggy? I just used it in last week’s challenge. 🙂 For my take on today’s case (copy and share everything) I followed the sketch for all the measurements except the sentiment strips. My strips measure 3/8″ x 1 1/4″ and 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ so they fit my sentiments better.
Once I decided on what supplies to use, I cut out my circle in Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped the pitcher and plant images in Tuxedo Black so that I could color with my Stampin’ Blends. I colored the plants using the Old Olive combo for the artichoke, Mossy Meadow combo for the wide leaves, the tall leaves with the Light Shaded Spruce, the berries with the Dark Cherry Cobbler and the cat tails with the Soft Suede combo markers. Next I lightly colored the pitcher with the Light Crumb Cake marker. Can I just say I love my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers? The fact that they match our color families and come in only a light and a dark shade make coloring so very easy!! Next I took my Crumb Cake layer and randomly stamped the plant image in Crumb Cake ink. I layered that to a piece of the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP and wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around and tied it in a bow. I glued that to an Early Espresso card base. I cut the left side of the stamped circle like the sketch shows and added my strip of Copper Foil to the back, then adhered it all to the card front with dimensionals. Then I stamped my sentiments on my strips in Early Espresso ink and added them to the card front. I love how it turned out!
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. If you aren’t a member yet, that’s okay, just request to join. We would love to have you come over and play along! Thank you for stopping by and have a great Tuesday!!!
