Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first time here, welcome and be sure to join my email list! Have you seen the sample we are casing over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group? If not, here is the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that sample just adorable? The theme is actually perfect as it is my grandson’s 5th birthday today! I created my card with him in mind and used his favorite color, green, as my card base. The DSP even has gummy bears as one of the patterns, which is his favorite candy, so you know I had to use it!! The measurements for my card are the same as in the sketch and I was able to use all scraps for this card, even the card base! I chose the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper for my two layers and even did some fussy cutting on that cute cupcake. Everybody loves cupcakes!! I adhered both layers right to the card base, then added my cupcake with dimensionals. That was when I realized I forgot to emboss my card base!! Oops! Oh well, we didn’t get any embossing on this one!  😉  I used a piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock (doesn’t SU! have the greatest names for colors?!?) for the sentiment strip and stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday Greetings stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink. I wrapped a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine on the end and added a bow with a Mini Glue Dot. I added the strip to the card front with dimensionals and then added some of the Glitter Enamel Dots. LOVE how it turned out!

That DSP is just so bright and cheery! Perfect for birthdays!! Now it’s your turn! Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. Don’t worry if you’re not a member yet, just request to join and we’ll add you to the group. There’s so much inspiration over there, you’re sure to enjoy it!! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!!
