Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I love Tuesdays because there’s so much inspiration over at the CASE-ing Tuesdays Facebook Group! If I’m ever having mojo issues, that’s one of the first places I head to for a quick shot of inspiration. Have you seen today’s sample that we’re casing? If not, here it is along with the sketch:
Now if you’re not sure what casing it is, it is “copy and share everything”, which makes creating really easy when you’re having creative issues, in a hurry or brand new to the craft. Today’s sample is using the soon to be retired Hostess Set, Just Because. I absolutely love this stamp set and I plan on keeping it around, which is exactly why I used it today. It has the cutest plant images that stamp so well! I followed the sketch for all my measurements but changed up the colors and the image from the set. I did use Crumb Cake for my card base and the Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder for the layer, just like the sample. I adhered the embossed piece with dimensionals. Then I used the Nature’s Poem DSP for the two layers and added them to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped my image using Tuxedo Black ink and colored the leaves with the Shaded Spruce Stampin Blends Combo Markers and the Crumb Cake Markers for the pot. I then cut it out with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. I punched out some Vellum leaves with our Leaf Punch and added them to the back of the rectangle with Mini Glue Dots. Then I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I used a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine instead of the Linen Thread because the Linen Thread just looked lost on the pot. Of course I had to add some rhinestones and I was done!
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you!! That’s the beauty of casing!! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday!
