Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we’re casing? If you haven’t, here’s the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that card cute? It’s actually created using one of our little note cards, but I changed it up a bit and created a full size card. Here are my measurements:

  • Card base in Basic Black cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 5″
  • Botanical Butterfly DSP cut in 5 strips of 3 1/4″ x 3/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 2 1/8″ x 1/2″

I actually used a leftover packet from a previous class for the supplies for today’s card and just added a scrap of Balmy Blue cardstock and trimmed the DSP to match the measurements in the sketch. I adhered the strips to the Balmy Blue with Snail adhesive. I grabbed some leftover Basic Black Baker’s Twine from my last card class and added it to the card front with a few strips of Snail. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink and snipped the ends to create a flag like in the picture of the sample, then added a small strip of dimensional to adhere it over the twine. I use every little piece of those dimensionals! I know this bundle (stamp set and punch) are not available at the moment, but when they come back in stock, make sure you get yours. I punched a small butterfly in both Vellum cardstock and Daffodil Delight cardstock and added a drop of glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere them together. I snipped a tiny piece of dimensional to add the butterfly to the card base. My latest obsession is coloring our rhinestones to match my project, so I colored some with the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Marker. We carried black rhinestones a couple of years ago and I was so bummed when they were discontinued…but not any more!! 🙂  So I added them to the card and the butterfly and voila! My take on today’s case!

Now it’s your turn! Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. Don’t worry if you’re not a member, just request to join; everybody is welcome!! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you  have a fabulous Tuesday!!
