Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Don’t you just love Tuesdays?!? So much better then Mondays!! lol Have you seen the sample we are casing today or the sketch over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group? If not, check these out:
Now the sample card is smaller then a traditional A2 card size, but the sketch was adjusted to fit and I used those measurements for my take on today’s card. My Product of the Week are the outgoing 2017-2019 In Colors, so I thought I would use those for my card. I chose Tranquil Tide cardstock for the card base and a piece of the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper for the strip. I decided to use the stamp set in the sample, which is one of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets, By the Bay. I grabbed a piece of Whisper White cardstock and some Stampin’ Blends to color the scenery. I chose the Crumb Cake Combo and the Dark Pool Party. Then I stamped the seagulls in Early Espresso ink. I cut it out with the oval framelit that matches the above dimensions and then added some adhesive to the back. I then took my Leaf Punch and punched out two sets in Soft Sea Foam cardstock, which is one of the coordinating colors in the DSP, and then two sprigs from the Sprig Punch in Early Espresso cardstock. I added those to the back of the oval and then added some dimensionals and set it aside. I had a couple of strands left of the Burlap Ribbon that I had separated and cut some to add to the DSP strip and then I tied a bow in the remaining strands to use on the oval. I adhered the DSP strip to the card base, added the oval, and then added the bow with a Mini Glue Dot. Next I found a strip of Soft Sea Foam and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and added it to the oval, also with Mini Glue Dots and then called it done! I really like how it turned out – and it doesn’t even have any bling on it! Shocking, I know! Here’s a close up of the oval:
I really liked how easy the scenery was, I just colored without even thinking about it. Those blends markers are just so much fun to use!!! Now it’s your turn! Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. The fun part of casing (copy and share everything) is that you can do it anyway you want. You can change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! And if you’re not a member of the Facebook Group yet, just ask to join. We would love to have you join our group! It’s so much fun to see everyone’s take on a card. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
