Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I am so happy you stopped by. Have you seen the card and sketch we’re casing today? If not, here they are:
The sample is actually the same size as our Note Cards, which is exactly what I used today. I went by the above measurements for all my layers and the layer that has my stamped image on is 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. As you can see I changed mine from a landscape to a portrait layout. I did change up the ribbon a bit, but that was to hide a flaw in my card. Can you see it? If not, I was successful in hiding it! Now I’ll tell you what it is so that in case you run into something like this you’ll know how to hide it. When I put the note card in the embossing folder, I didn’t account for the edge nearest the fold not getting embossed. There was about 1/8″ that wasn’t embossed so to hide it, I wrapped the ribbon around the fold of the card. Pretty good trick, huh? Once I was convinced it would work, I cut a strip of the Floral Romance Specialty DSP and added that to the card front. Then I cut my image layer and stamped the grass from the Home to Roost stamp set in Old Olive ink. To give it some shimmer, I added some Wink of Stella. I added that to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped my sentiment on the little strip and then adhered it to the card front with dimensionals too. Here’s a look at the inside:
I love how with Stampin’ Up! products you can group different items from different suites and they all work together! Makes designing less stressful!! Just like when using a sketch! 😉
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! And don’t worry if you aren’t a member of the Facebook Group yet, just request to join. We want everyone to play along!! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
