Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I’m so happy you stopped by! I know this is a busy time of year, but now more then ever you need to take a break to get away from all the stress. And what better way then to craft? Here’s a look at the card we’re casing today in case you haven’t been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group.

Isn’t it cute? It is so simple and sweet! And I love that Wishing You Well stamp set, but since I used it last week, I went with my Product of the Week this week, which is the Winter Woods Bundle. Here are the measurements for my card:

  • Card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″

That’s it! Two pieces of cardstock, a stamp set, two ink pads and some twine from my stash! You just gotta love sweet and simple! Oh and this card is made from all scraps!. Another win-win! My only problem is the whole “messy bun” thing with the twine behind the top layer. For the life of me I just can’t get it to look that cute! Same with the buns in my hair! lol I can tie a mean bow, but have me create that whole “messy bun” thing and I choke!!  🙂

I used the new Shaded Spruce ink pad, which is one of my favorites. I think Stampin’ Up! did good in bringing this one in since so many of us are going to go through withdrawals when the Tranquil Tide retires in May. I inked my stamp and then stamped off once to lighten the color and then stamped my layer. I stamped it close to the top so that my sentiment could fit on the bottom. Next I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake and then adhered the layer with dimensionals. I knew I was never going to get my piece of twine to look that cute behind the layer like the sample, so I just tied a bow and added it at the top of the tree with a Mini Glue Dot. I kept the “legs” of the bow long to look like those tree toppers that so many use. I really wanted to add some kind of bling, but I held back on this one – not even any Wink of Stella! *gasp* I know!!! How was that even possible?!? lol but I held off and I think it turned out perfectly. Again, gotta love simple! #simplestamping

Now it’s your turn, create your take on today’s case and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. Don’t worry if you’re not a member, just request to join! We would love to have you play along with us! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
