Hello and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I think Tuesdays are my favorite because I get to create something for you to see another spin on a project in one of the Stampin’ Up! catalogs. As a blogger for the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group we get to take turns choosing a card to case, and this week’s case was one that I chose! If you haven’t seen it yet, here is the original card on page 42 of the Holiday Catalog:
I just love the colors in this card!! Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Crushed Curry cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Crushed Curry layer cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″, embossed
- Country Lane DSP cut at 4″ x 3″
This stamp set is also my Product of the Week so it was perfect for today’s project. I took the Crushed Curry layer and embossed it with the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder, but first I inked the folder with my Crushed Curry ink pad for a tone on tone effect. Next I added the piece of DSP to it then tied a piece of the new Braided Linen Thread. If you love our original Linen Thread, you’re going to flip over this new style. So stinking cute!! After I tied the ribbon, I adhered that to the card base. I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and cut it out with one of the Layering Ovals Framelits, then cut the coordinating scalloped oval in Blackberry Bliss. Next I punched out some of leaves in Old Olive and Cajun Craze cardstocks and adhered them to the back of the scalloped oval with Mini Glue Dots. I added some dimensionals and adhered it to the card front. I added Wink of Stella to the leaves and some rhinestones to the sentiment oval. LOVE it!!! Here’s a look at it up close:
Don’t you just love the shimmer of the Wink of Stella? Now it’s your turn! Create your take on the original card and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. If you’re not a member yet, that’s okay, we would love to have you join!! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday!!
