Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I love all the inspiration at the CASE-Tuesday Facebook Group, don’t you? Have you seen today’s case? If not, here is what we’re casing this week:
Cute card huh? I didn’t have this set, but I wanted to keep with the thought of an Asian theme (that is a bonsai tree isn’t it?) so I grabbed my Artistically Asian stamp set. Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Cherry Cobbler cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Shimmery White paper cut at 2 1/4″ x 5″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″
I love the color combo of Cherry Cobbler, black and a touch of gold for this stamp set so that’s what I went with, and since Cherry Cobbler is one of the new Watercolor Pencils in the Assortment 2 pack which is my Product of the Week, it was the perfect choice for today. I first used the pencil and colored my piece of Shimmery White, then used my Aqua Painter to blend it all in and make a lighter shade like the sample in today’s case. Next I stamped the flower and the sentiment in Tuxedo Black on the Whisper White layer. Once the Shimmery White was dry, I tied a piece of Basic Black Baker’s Twine around it and in a bow, then adhered it down to the card base. Next I adhered the sentiment layer down and then added three of the little Mini Gold Sequins with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. I love the simplicity of this card and just a touch of bling with those little sequins.
Now it’s your turn, create your take on today’s case. Once you’re done, share it over on the Facebook Group. If you’re not a member yet, that’s okay, just request to join and you’ll be added to this fun group. We would love it if you came over and played along! Have a great Tuesday and thank you so much for stopping by!
