Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Don’t you just love Tuesdays? The card we’re casing today is on page 54 in the Annual Catalog and if you haven’t seen it yet, here it is:
Isn’t that a cute card? I don’t have that set, so keeping in with the “dream” theme, I chose the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits. I haven’t used that set in quite awhile so I was happy to pull it out! Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Fresh Fig cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Tranquil Textures DSP cut at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Night of Navy cardstock cut at 2″ x 5″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
I decided on a piece of the Tranquil Textures DSP for my background because of the calming colors in it. I layered it on the card base, then added the Night of Navy banner piece that I punched with the Banner Triple punch. I used the Envelope Punch Board to round the corners like the card in the sample. I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig ink, then added it to the card front dimensionals. I cut out the detailed dragonfly and then added Wink of Stella to give it a shimmery effect. Once it was dry, I added two of the Mini Dimensionals and adhered it to the card front. I added a few rhinestones and called it done. Super quick and easy! Here’s a look at the inside:
