Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! So glad you stopped by to see my take on today’s card. Have you been over to the Facebook Group to see which card we are casing? If not, here’s a look at it:
Isn’t that the cutest card? It’s using the new Animal Outing stamp set, which is a set i got at OnStage back in April. That hippo is just too stinking cute!! Here are the measurements on my card:
- Card base in Call Me Clover cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Animal Expedition DSP cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Smokey Slate cardstock cut at 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 3″
This was the first time I pulled out the Animal Expedition DSP. Wow! It’s simply adorable! And it’s on the Buy 3 Get 1 Free promotion, so guess who’s getting more?!? LOL Yep, this girl!! 😛 After I picked which sheet of DSP I was going to use, I ended up choosing the Call Me Clover cardstock for the base. I wanted to see more of the card base, so rather then adhere the DSP down in the middle, I placed it right next to the fold. Then I stamped my hippo in Memento ink and colored him with my Stampin’ Blends. I used the Smokey Slate combo for his body, and the Dark Crumb Cake for the ground. Then following the DSP, I colored the bird with the Lovely Lipstick combo and the Light Granny Apple Green. I think that is a really cute color combo, so don’t be surprised if you see more of that in the future. Once I was done coloring, I stamped the sentiment in Call Me Clover ink. Then I added the Smokey Slate layer to break up all the white and make it stand out a little from the DSP. I cut a piece of the Granny Apple Green Ribbon and adhered it to the back of the Smokey Slate, then added it all to the card front. I took out my Dark Call Me Clove Blends pen and colored the rhinestones and sprinkled them on. See how it all coordinates? That’s the beauty of Stampin’ Up! products!!
Now it’s your turn! Create a project that is your take on today’s card and share it with us on the Facebook Group. You can create it just like you see in the sample or change it up. This is where the fun comes in. You can change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! That’s best part of casing, it’s anything you want to do with it!! If you aren’t a member of the group yet, that’s okay, just request to join. We would really love to have you play along. Thanks for stopping by!!
