Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I am really excited about today’s case. Each of the bloggers for the CASE-ing Tuesday group gets to choose a card to case in the Annual Catalog and this one was my choice! There was just something about this card that caught my attention. If you haven’t seen today’s card, here it is:

Isn’t that a beautiful card? I love the watercolor effect so I knew I was going to be doing some watercoloring to my take. Here are the measurements of my card:

  • Card base in Petal Pink cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″
  • Basic Black cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
  • Shimmery White cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″

Because I was using a card base that was leftover from a previous project, it’s a portrait style card. The stamp set is the Enjoy Life set and was one of the first ones in my preorder. Such a fun set to stamp with! I chose the “wake up” sentiment, so I wanted to give my watercolor a sunrise effect. I used Pear Pizzazz for the grass, some So Saffron, Petal Pink, Balmy Blue, and Night of Navy for the sky. Once it dried, I stamped the grass, the girl, and the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black. I adhered it to the black layer on an angle, then added some Whisper White Baker’s Twine and adhered it to the card base. I grabbed some of the new Basic Adhesive Sequins to match the sky colors and voila! Done!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on today’s card and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can change it up a little or a lot, or not at all. It’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing (copy and share everything), it’s all in how you see the card. We would love to have you join in!!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
