Hello and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Don’t you just love Tuesdays? Not sure what CASE-ing Tuesday is? It’s a Facebook Group that selects a sample out of one of the Stampin’ Up! catalogs and then everyone creates their take on the sample and posts it to that week’s thread. Here’s a look at this week’s case:

Isn’t that adorable? It’s using the new Varied Vases Bundle. This bundle is the inspiration of one our demonstrators that has reached $1,000,000.00 in sales. So for my take on today’s card, here are the measurements:

  • Card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Grapefruit Grove cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Share What You Love DSP cut at 2″ x 3 3/4″

To create this, I first stamped all three of the vase outlines in Basic Gray ink, then punched them out. Then using an Aqua Painter, I washed on some of the Grapefruit Grove ink, then set them aside to dry. Then I stamped each of the flower stems and buds in Basic Gray and stamped the solid parts of each with Grapefruit Grove ink again. I did stamp off on the double flowers and the tall flowers. I stamped the leaves in Mint Macaron. I added each of the vases with dimensionals, adhered the DSP to the bottom and then adhered it to the the Grapefruit Grove layer. I added the piece of Grapefruit Grove ribbon and adhered it all to the card base. I then tied a bow in the ribbon and added it with a Mini Glue Dot. Then something happened that happens to everyone at least once….while cleaning up I dropped the block with one of the leaves that had been stamped on the card….don’t you hate that?!? Fortunately I was able to cover it up with some of the rhinestones. So they’re not always just sprinkled on for bling…they cover up boo boos too!! 🙂 Once that was done, I stamped the sentiment in Grapefruit Grove ink, flagged the ends with the Banner Triple Punch and added with dimensionals to the card front.

So now it’s your turn. Create your take on today’s sample and post it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. If you aren’t a member yet, that’s okay, just request to join and then you too can play along. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.
