Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If you’re not familiar with CASE-ing Tuesday, it is a group on Facebook that takes one of the idea sample in the Annual Catalog and we all get together and case it or copy and share everything. If you haven’t seen today’s sample, here is a look at it:

Now I know what you’re thinking….my creation doesn’t look anything like this card! And that is the beauty of casing. You can create it just as the original, change up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! Here are the measurements of my card:

  • Card base in Early Espresso cardstock, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at  4 1/4″
  • Blushing Bride cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
  • Sahara Sand cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″

Since I don’t own the set that was used in the sample, I did want to keep with the floral thank you theme of the card. That’s when I thought about the Floral Statements stamp set. I stamped the thank you in Early Espresso ink and stamped it on Sahara Sand cardstock. Then I used one of my blender pens and colored the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and the roses in Blushing Bride. I adhered it to a piece of Blushing Bride and wrapped some Linen Thread around the layers and then adhered it to the card base. Then I tied a double bow of the thread and added it with a Mini Glue Dot. Of course I had to add some bling, so I added some of the Glitter Enamel Dots. Sadly, the dots are on the retiring list and I am going to miss them a lot!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on today’s sample and post it over on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. If you aren’t a member of the group, that’s okay, just request to join and then you not only get to play along, but see all kinds of beautiful creations.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!!
