Hello and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Don’t you just love Tuesdays? I know I do! For those that don’t know what CASE-ing Tuesday is, it’s a Facebook Group that cases card samples out of any of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs and then everyone in the group gets to create their take on the sample and share them with us. Have you seen today’s sample? If not, here is what we’re casing today:
Everyone needs a baby card every now and then, so this is a good one to case. Not sure what case stands for? Copy And Share Everything. You can create the card exactly how it is, change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! It’s so fun to see everyone’s take on the samples that have been chosen. So for my card, here are the measurements:
- Card base in Soft Sky cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Bundle of Love Specialty DSP cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Soft Sky cardstock cut at 3″ x 3 1/2″
- Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 2 1/2″ x 4″
I decided to stick with the whole baby theme and also followed the sketch, but turned it to a portrait style card. I decided to use the Bundle of Love Specialty DSP and thought I’d go with the Soft Sky color since it’s getting ready to retire. It really is a pretty color and if you have the ink pad, be sure you get the reinker before it’s gone. I cut out the congrats from the Sunshine Wishes Framelits in Soft Sky to match the card base. I used the Moon Baby stamp set and inked the baby in Memento ink to color him with the Stampin’ Blends markers. I also used the Memento ink to stamp the word Baby from the Hello Baby sentiment in the set. I used the Pool Party combo for his onesie, the light Pink Pirouette for his cheeks, Ivory for his skin, and the Daffodil Delight combo pens for the umbrella. I adhered the layers, then used the Tombo Multipurpose Glue for the die cut. After everything was adhered, I added some of the yellow Glitter Enamel Dots. I thought he turned out pretty cute, what do you think?
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on today’s sample and share it over on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. If you’re not a member, please request to join so you too can see all the inspiration of others and play along. We would love to have you join the group!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
