Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Today’s case is using some of my all-time favorite Designer Series Paper! I loved it when it was in the Project Life pack and love it even more as DSP. In fact, I think I’ve purchased 5 or 6 packs of it since the catalog went live last year. It was so popular that it has already sold out on the Retiring List! Did you see today’s case using it? If not, here it is:

It’s a pretty cute card, don’t you think? I especially like how they used the mini gold sequins as a border on the embossed strip. My card is a take on one I did for a private class in January using this same paper. I love pairing it up with Gold Glimmer Paper, it just has so much sparkle!! Here are the measurements of my card:

  • Card base in Basic Black cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Gold Glimmer Paper cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Whole Lots of Lovely DSP cut at 5″ x 3 3/4″

I cut and folded the card base, then cut the glimmer paper and DSP. Before I adhered anything, I punched the Starburst in the middle of the Glimmer Paper so I wouldn’t be wasting any. The hole will be covered by the DSP so it’s a great way to save your paper. I adhered the DSP to the glimmer paper with Mini Glue Dots, then tied a piece of the Gold Metallic Edge ribbon around it and tied it in a knot. I adhered it all to the card front. Then I punched a 2″ circle in Basic Black and a 2 1/4″ circle in vellum. To tie in the Pool Party color in the DSP, I cut a heart in Pool Party cardstock using the Sweet & Sassy framelits. Sadly these heart framelits are on the retiring list, so make sure you get them before they’re gone. I stamped the Love You sentiment in Calypso Coral on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out with the next smaller framelit, then layered them together. I adhered the glimmer starburst to the vellum circle, the black circle to the starburst, then added the hearts with dimensionals. I added some dimensionals to the back of the vellum and added it to the card front. I just love the bling on this card!!

Now it’s your turn! Head over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group and add your creation to the post. We would love to see your take on today’s card. If you aren’t a member of the group yet, that’s okay, just request to join. It is such a fun way to get some inspiration when you’re having trouble creating something. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
