Hello and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope you love CASE-ing Tuesdays as much as I do. I love seeing all the inspiration over at the Facebook Group. Whenever I am in a mojo funk, I just head over there to see some gorgeous projects. Have you seen the sample we’re casing today? If not, here it is:

It’s using the Petal Palette Suite, which just happens to be one of my favorites from the Occasions Catalog. Those flowers are just adorable and the coordinating framelits are just as cute. So I used the same piece of Designer Series paper for my card, but I chose Bermuda Bay for the card base. Here are the measurements for my card:

  • Card base in Bermuda Bay cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Old Olive cardstock cut at 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
  • Petal Passion Designer Series Paper cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″

I cut a scrap piece of Whisper White with one of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped the one of the smaller stem of flowers in Basic Black Archival ink. Then using my Blender Pen, I colored the leaves in Old Olive and the flowers in Bermuda Bay inks. I cut out the leaves from the turquoise glimmer paper in the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper stack and glued it to the DSP using the Liquid Glue. I tied a piece of the Organza Ribbon around the DSP and tied in a knot to the left side. Added some dimensionals to the oval and adhered it over the ribbon and glimmer paper. I pulled out a scrap piece of Old Olive and adhered the DSP to it at an angle, then both to the card front. I knew I wanted a thin sentiment since the oval is so small, so I took out my Thoughtful Banners stamp set and chose the Missing You sentiment. I first stamped the label frame in Bermuda Bay ink, the sentiment in Basic Black and then punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. I added a couple of the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the label, then adhered it at the base of the flowers. I wanted to tie the 3 colors together on the sentiment, so I added a couple of the green Glitter Enamel Dots. Perfect! Here’s a close up view of it:

Didn’t that turn out cute? It’s just enough bling between the glitter dots and the glimmer paper. I was afraid the turquoise would be too dark on the black, but the sparkle sets it off nicely. What do you think? Now it’s your turn to show us what you’ve got! Create your take on today’s case sample and share it over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. If you’re not a member yet, that’s ok. We’d love to have join and play along with us. It’s always fun to see everyone’s style of crafting.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
