Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! And happy Tuesday! I am so excited for this week’s case. Why you ask? Starting in February, the bloggers got to choose the sample to case and this is the one I chose. I chose it not only to showcase one of the great items from the Sale-a-bration Catalog, but because of the color combination. I know what you’re thinking…what happened?!? lol Well, I have been using a lot of Rich Razzleberry the last few weeks and thought I needed a break from it, but I still wanted to use the Amazing You stamp set.So of course I went with my fav, Night of Navy! Here are the measurements to my card:

  • Card base in Night of Navy cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Crumb Cake layer cut at 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
  • Very Vanilla layer cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″

I knew I was going to use my Stampin’ Blends Markers, and since I wasn’t using Memento ink, I decided to use Clear Embossing Powder. First you ink your stamp with Versa Mark Ink, then directly into whatever color ink you’re using, in this case, Night of Navy, and then stamp the cardstock. I did stamp a second time for the Crumb Cake flowers. Then I sprinkled both with the Clear Embossing and heat embossed them. I used the Light Night of Navy and the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the flowers. On the Night of Navy flowers, I went back over the edge of the petals with the Color Lifter to pull some of the color out. I love that gives it a variegated look to the flowers. Here’s a close up of the flowers:

Just looking at that blue flower makes me smile! 🙂 Once I was done coloring, I wrapped some Linen Thread around the layers, then adhered it to the card base. I cut out a scalloped oval in Night of Navy and a stitched oval in Very Vanilla. I stamped the sentiments in both Crumb Cake and Night of Navy, then adhered it to the scalloped oval. I added some dimensionals to the back and added it to the card. Then I colored some rhinestones with the Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends Marker, (another fun aspect of the blends!!) and added them to the oval. I then tied a double bow of the Linen Thread and added it to the card. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE this card!!! I love everything about it, the embossing, the color…just everything! I love creating cards, but there are times I REALLY love one of my creations and this is it!!

Now it’s your turn! Come on over to the the CASE-ing Tuesday FaceBook Group and play along; show us your take on today’s sample. If you aren’t a member of the group yet, that’s ok, just request to join; we would love to have you in our group. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
