Hey everyone, happy Thursday! I am going to share a card I created this morning showcasing the By the Bay stamp set and Lemon Lime Twist. I have to tell you, I don’t think this is one of my better creations, but DH says it’s good and I need to show you, so here it is. The measurements for this card are:
- Card base in Basic Black cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
- Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″, embossed with the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder
I knew I was going to use the Basic Black and Lemon Lime Twist combo, especially since they were scraps, but I wasn’t sure what stamp set to use. I pulled out my By the Bay again and stamped the image on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next I embossed the Lemon Lime Twist and added the ribbon at the bottom. I cut out the image with the next to the last oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits and a coordinating scallop in Basic Black and adhered them together. I adhered the Lemon Lime Twist layer to the card front and added the ovals with dimensionals. For the sentiment layer, I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch.I lined up the sentiment at the top of the punch and punched it out, then added a sticky note to the bottom and fed in the punched sentiment to line it up and punched it again. I used a little bit of Fast Fuse (no longer available) to attach it to the ribbon, then added some Faceted Dots and called it done. It looked a lot different in my head, but I guess it isn’t so bad. 🙂
