Hey everyone! How is your weekend going? It’s been a busy one around here, but I still got a chance to get in my craft room for some of my favorite kind of therapy! I wanted to create something easy, so I cased the sketch of this card from one of my favorite demo friends. I did change up the paper, but that’s the great thing about casing…you put your spin on it. Here are the dimensions for my card:
- Card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Botanical Butterfly DSP cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
I am loving the Butterfly Gala Bundle and that DSP from the Sale-a-bration Catalog is just to die for! I basically created this in less then 5 minutes, and that’s including an interruption!! 😉 I adhered the DSP to the card base. Then I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink. I think it should have been stamped a little more to the left, but hey, it’s handmade so it’s not going to be perfect! Then I wrapped a piece of the Organdy Ribbon that is also from the Sale-a-bration Catalog, and tied it in a knot. Then I adhered the strip to the card base. Next I stamped the little antenna on strip for the butterfly, and I punched out the butterfly from the Botanical DSP. I love it when the paper works with our punches or framelits! It makes us look like artists!! lol To adhere the butterfly, I rolled a couple of Mini Glued Dots and added them to the back, then adhered it to the card. When you roll the Mini Glue Dots, it gives the item your gluing down some depth. Then I added some of the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins to the butterflies on the background an some Wink of Stella to the butterfly I punched out and called it done. I really like how it turned out, what do you think?
