Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been going well. It’s been rainy here so I thought it was time to brighten it up with some butterflies. The Butterfly Brillance Bundle is an early release of set from the upcoming 2021/2022 Annual Catalog. Did you catch my Facebook Live this morning? If not, you can watch the replay here on my YouTube Channel. While you’re there, I’d love it if you would like and share my video. And if you’re not a subscriber yet, I would love it if you became one.

Isn’t that a fun card? In the video I created it without the detail layers so that you can see the difference. Here are the measurements:

  • Card base in Thick Basic White cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black cardstock cut at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ for the inside
  • Basic White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside
  • Butterfly Bijou DSP cut at 3″ x 4″

I love the clean lines of this design. I started with my 3″ x 4″ piece of that gorgeous DSP and stamped two of the branches from the Forever Fern stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink. Next I stamped the dots three times up through the branches. I then stamped the sentiment and attached it to my my 4″ x 5 1/4″ inch Basic White and both to the Basic Black and then to the card base. I then stamped the butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and die cut them all out. This is one stamp that has several butterfiles and the die is also one piece. I then took two of the smaller butterflies and colored them with my Stampin’ Blends. For the larger one, I colored it with my Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight Blends abf the Light Smoky Slate for the body. You definitely could use the Basic Black Blends, but I didn’t want to cover up the detail in the body (although it’s hard to see with the black die cut over it. lol) The smaller butterfly is colored with the Calypso Coral Blends and the Light Smoky Slate for the body. I then attached them to the card front with Mini Glue Dots. I then die cut the detailed butterflies that coordinated with the images in Basic Black cardstock. First I colored them with the Wink of Stella and then added them with some of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I pulled out my Artistry Blooms Sequins for my bling.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment first and then added some more of the leaves, which I stamped off first. I then added the dots without stamping off. Glued the layers together and then to the inside of the card.

I added the same leaves and dots to my envelope. I love the clean look of black and white and with the detail in the stamps, it really pops!

So what do you think? I love the colors of that DSP! It’s just so fun! Do you like it better with the detailed die cut on top or without it? Let me know! Remember that while the stamp and die bundle is going to be around for awhile, this DSP is only available while supplies last, so don’t miss adding it to your stash! Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great rest of your day!
