Hey everyone! Happy Monday and March 1st! The countdown is on for spring! Today’s project is a look at the early release stamp and die bundle, Butterfly Bouquet. The 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is going live a month early this year, so this year’s early release item goes live tomorrow. It comes with one stamp with multiple butterfly images and the die set includes one die to cut those butterflies out with and then several individual dies. Plus, the two packs of paper, the Butterfly Bijou DSP and the Natural Touch Specialty Paper (not used in this sample) are exclusive while-supplies-last items.
You can actually purchase the entire suite with one item number, which makes it much easier!! Here’s a look at today’s sweet and simple card:
Here are the measurements:
- Card base in Bumble Bee cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside
- Butterfly Bijou DSP cut at 2″ x 4″ and 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside
I started by stamping the large stamp in Tuxedo Black ink. Because of the size of the stamp, I used my Stamparatus, our stamppositioning tool, which was a good thing because on my first stamp it didn’t cover everything. The tool really helps in those situations! Next I cut out all of the butterflies, saving the others for my next projects. I colored the largest butterfly using my Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers. Next I added Wink of Stella all over the wings (gotta have that bling!) I then cut my papers to the above measurements and glued the DSP strip at the bottom of the Basic White layer. Next I took a piece of the Bumble Bee Gingham ribbon and attached it to the card with my Stampin’ Seal adhesive. I waited for my knot until I had everything in place. I then stamped my sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set just above the ribbon in black. Note to self, make sure the ink pad doesn’t need to be reinked! lol I glued the layer down to the card base, added some of the Seal to the back of the butterfly just at the body so that it looks like it’s flying away, and added him to the card. I added the In Color Enamel Dots in Just Jade and the knot in my ribbon and called the front done.
For the inside, I had a scrap of Basic White that I stamped the sentiment, also from the Many Mates stamp set, and added the strip of DSP to the side.
And of course I added it to my envelope.
I have to tell you, this DSP is so pretty! If you a paper hoarder, er lover, you will want to get this pack! It has butterflies on one side with patterns on the back. It will all be available beginning tomorrow and remember that paper is on a while-supplies-last status, so don’t wait!
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for another CASE-ing Tuesday project.
