Happy Monday! Just wanted to share a quick card today as I have my 3 year old grandson here today. I made this for my step granddaughter’s bridal shower yesterday. I have to say, thank goodness for Pinterest!! I was in serious lack of mojo on Saturday when I had to make this. I know, nothing like waiting for the last minute! So just like everyone else, I headed straight to Pinterest. My step granddaughter is having a simple wedding out in a country setting, so when I saw a card with this little wedding dress on it, I knew that was the one! It’s made with 2 doilies, one folded to make the skirt, and one folded and punched out for the top. Her colors are navy blue and tan, so I thought this fit the bill.
The card base is in Night of Navy with a Sahara Sand layer. Luckily I had some Night of Navy ribbon that had retired about 5 years ago and was perfect to make the sash on this dress. And this is why crafters never get rid of anything!! lol I always have a hard time parting with stuff, but especially my ribbon. I used the the Happy Birthday Gorgeous for the sentiment stamped in Night of Navy, added some pearls and voila! Clean and simple card, my favorite!
Well, gotta run. While Charlie is sleeping, I need to get some stuff done. I hope you have a great afternoon, and I thank you for stopping by!
