Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. I was getting my May birthday cards out today and wanted to share one I had created for a good friend of mine. I’ve actually made a couple of these cards and I believe we also created it in one of our classes. This is the perfect set for anyone that has a motorcycle lover in your life. It was actually a stamp that was designed by one of our million dollar demonstrators. When a demonstrator reaches $1,000,000.00 in lifetime sales one of the perks is you get to help design a stamp set. How cool is that? So here are the dimensions to my card:
- Card base in Basic Gray cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Silver Foil Sheet cut at 3″ x 4″ and embossed with the Hexagons embossing folder
- Basic Black cardstock cut at 3 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ and 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the inside
- Very Vanilla cardstock cut two pieces at 3″ x 4″, one for the inside
After running the silver foil sheet through the Big Shot, I wrapped a piece of Black Baker’s Twine around and tied it in a bow, then adhered it to the card base. I stamped the the motorcycle, the dirt images and the tire tracks in Basic Gray and the sentiment in Basic Black. I love the dirt image, it’s the perfect grunge image. Then I adhered it to the Basic Black Layer and added it to the card base with dimensionals. I then added some of the silver Metallic Enamel Shapes to the card to finish it off. Then for the inside I repeated the dirt image in Basic Gray and the sentiment in Basic Black, adhered it to the Basic Black layer, then to the inside of the card base. Everyone I have ever given this card too has loved it. It always makes you feel so good when someone compliments you on something you’ve created. Here’s a look at the inside:
