Hey everyone! How’s your Thursday going? I created a window card using those gorgeous framelits and just couldn’t wait to share it with you. Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Granny Apple Green cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
I started with the inside layer so I knew where to cut the window in the card base. I stamped those gorgeous flowers in Memento ink and colored it with Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy combo Blends Markers. The center of the flowers are colored with the Dark Pineapple Punch marker. After I colored the petals on the flowers, I didn’t like how dark they looked. I took the Color Lifter Blends and colored over the petals to try to lighten them up some. The idea behind the Color Lifter is it adds additional alcohol to the already colored image. This is where you have to be careful as it can really make the color bleed. There are some places that bled, but I used some of the rhinestones to cover up the bigger spots. See? No mistakes, only room for embellishment! I stamped the sentiment in Memento and adhered it with Snail adhesive.
I wanted to keep the front fairly simple, but thought it could use a little something, so I cut out the bow in Night of Navy cardstock and adhered it with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Not sure about you, but I absolutely love this card!
