Happy Monday everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start. Since we haven’t seen much sun in the last 60 days or so, I decided we need something sunny for this week’s Product of the Week. What’s sunnier then a trip to the beach? Here are the measurements for today’s card:

  • Card base in Soft Sea Foam cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Tranquil Tide cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ for the inside
  • Tropical Chic DSP cut at 3″ x 5 1/2″ and 1″ x 3 1/4″ for the inside
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the inside

Yes, this is another card created from all scraps, including the ribbon! I chose the DSP since it has that beachy feel to it. First I trimmed my two scraps of DSP and cardstock to fit the length of the card and adhered them together. Then I added the piece of Whisper White Cotton Ribbon and tied it in a bow and adhered it all to the card front. Next I stamped the beach hat in Tranquil Tide ink and added the second step stamp in Soft Sea Foam. Since that second step stamp doesn’t include the inside brim of the hat, I pulled out a blender pen and added some Blushing Bride to that and the hat band. Next I stamped the sentiment underneath the hat and punched it out with the new Story Label Punch. This is a brand new punch that is available for sale right now as part of the Sale-a-bration Coordination release of products. If you haven’t seen them yet, just head over to my online store to check out the new items. They’ve got framelits to go with many of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets, a new stamp set and this gorgeous punch! Back to my card….once I punched out the stamped images I started to adhere it to the card front, but it just didn’t pop enough. So, I punched out a 2″ circle of Blushing Bride cardstock and adhered the label to it. The perfect solution! I added some dimensionals to it and adhered it to the card front. I wanted some kind of bling to it, so I grabbed the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and added two of the pink ones and voila! Here’s a look at the inside of the card:

I used scraps again to create the inside layers and stamped the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink. I love how the DSP works so well with this stamp set! I can’t wait to play some more with this set! Now if you would like to order any of today’s items, just head over to my online store. When you place an order using Hostess Code G33FMB76, I’ll send you a pack of handmade cards all ready to mail out. Thank you so much for stopping by. Be sure to come back tomorrow for another CASE-ing Tuesday project. Have a great Monday!
