Hey everyone, Happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend! We definitely did! We had a sleepover with Charlie, so a fun time was had by all!! I am prepping for my Paper Pumpkin night and wanted to share one of the treat/gift bags that the kit makes. They are so stinking cute!! I didn’t use anything but the kit to create this adorable bag.
I absolutely love all of the die cuts that this kit came in this kit. You can see most of them in this picture. Those vellum berries or leaves are just so cute! There are Crumb Cake leaves and sentiment tags in three different shapes, two different sets of leaves like our leaf punch; one sheet in Pretty Peacock and white striped and the other is Merry Merlot and white with a different print. Then there are more vellum oak leaves that are printed in fall colors. Oh and there’s a ton of adhesive backed gold sequins!
For this one, I stamped the berries stamp in the Merry Merlot ink that is in the set on the white banner. I punched out the vellum berries and added it to the banner up at the top with a Mini Glue Dot and then I glued the wreath circle die cut right to the banner. Next I stamped the sentiment in the Merry Merlot and then added some adhesive on the back to add some of the Linen Thread from the kit in that “messy bun” application. I took two of the Crumb Cake leaves and one of the Pretty Peacock and glued them together with Mini Glue Dots, and then glued them all to the back of the sentiment tag. I added some dimensionals to that and then glued it to the wreath. I then took some more of the Linen Trim and tied the whole banner tag to the handle of the bag. I tied a bow in the Mango Melody ribbon and attached it with a Mini Glue Dot and then sprinkled on some of the sequins. Isn’t that a cute treat or gift bag!
Paper Pumpkin has come a long way since it’s early days and they just keep getting better! Next month it’s going to be all about Halloween. According to Stampin’ Up!: “This kit includes 20 food-safe treat boxes, a unique and exclusive Halloween stamp set, and a spooky, special-edition box. September’s kit also gives new meaning to the word “handmade.” (Cue the scary laughter!)” From the looks of the box I’m guessing the ink spot is going to be Gorgeous Grape, what do you think?
I love the special boxes they send out! Now if you aren’t a subscriber and love Halloween, this is the time to subscribe! It’s just $22.00 plus tax (shipping is included in the $22.00) to get a box of creativity delivered to your mail box ready to go when you are!
