Hey everyone! How is your Thursday going? I thought since tomorrow is the deadline to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, I’d show you another alternate project from the March kit. I have to say I still love this kit, so much so that I bought 2 of the refills!! lol The die cuts are just too stinking cute!!!
For today’s project I finally cut one of these card bases in half to create this card. Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Granny Apple Green cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Night of Navy cardstock cut at 5 1/4″ x 3 3/4″
- Paper Pumpkin card base cut in half, use the back half for the inside layer of this card
As you can see, none of this card goes to waste since I used the back half for the inside layer! After I cut the card base in half, I stamped the dirt image in Basic Gray ink and then stamped the grass image from the extra set randomly around the bottom of the layer. Then I glued it down on the Night of Navy layer and wrapped the Baker’s twine from the kit around the two layers and tied it in a bow. I cut the green rain boots from the die cut and added them to the card front with a couple of dimensionals. Next I stamped the sentiment from the kit in Basic Gray ink and then glued it to the card front. I then added some of the those clear rain drop embellishments around the sentiment. Soooo cute!!!
For the inside layer, I stamped the grass again on the leftover card base in Granny Apple Green. I started to add the rest of the rain boots, but they looked off “standing” over the grass, so I stamped them with the grass image too and then glued them down. I stamped the other sentiment from the kit in Basic Gray ink, glued it to the inside of the card base and was done!
Paper Pumpkin is just such a fun kit and when you cut up your card bases, it makes your kits go even further! Now, like I said, tomorrow is the last day to subscribe to get the April kit. This kit is going to be perfect to help you send cards to all your family members, even friends that are family! And we so need to send out some extra love right now. Yes we are safe at home, but we need to let others in our family/friends circle know how much they mean to us right now. If you’d like to subscribe, just head over to my Paper Pumpkin site here to subscribe. For $22.00 you’ll get a kit in the mail around the 18th with everything you need to complete the projects. I’m telling you, it really is the best happy mail you can get right now!!
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a terrific Thursday!
