Hey everyone! I hope your Thursday is going well. I have been in my craft room all day watching our local news as we have a huge wild fire burning just outside our town. It’s pretty scary to say the least. I’m just trying to do something normal, although we are ready if it comes to any evacuations. Not our first rodeo here, so I’m ready to go. So let’s get back to some normal for the moment. Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Berry Burst cardstock, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Animal Expedition DSP cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and one at 3″ x 4″
I love the colors in this card, it’s just cheery. After I created the card base, I adhered the smaller piece of DSP to the larger one, then added the Lemon Lime Twist Ruffled Ribbon. That ribbon is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Once I tied the ribbon on, I adhered it to the card base. I stamped the branch and frog image first in Memento Ink, then masked the rhino stamp to get just the bird and added it to the branch. Then I grabbed my inks and Blender Pen and started coloring. Best. Therapy. Ever. The branch and leaves are colored in Soft Suede and Call Me Clover. The bird is colored in Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green and the frog in Old Olive. Once I was done with that, I punched it out with the 2″ circle punch and added it to a starburst punch of Berry Burst. I love that little frog, the look on his face is priceless. Take a closer look:
Can’t you just hear him “hellllloooooo my lovely”!! lol After I added him to the card with dimensionals, I added some Wink of Stella to the leaves and bird. Since the set didn’t have a hello, I went with the Welcome sentiment. I stamped it in Basic Gray and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch then adhered it to the card front with the Mini Dimensionals. I then added some of the new Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dots because you can never have too much bling!
