Hey everyone! Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I spent all day Saturday catching up on the books for my business and getting stuff ready for taxes. YUCK! But yesterday I got to spend the afternoon with my oldest daughter playing in my scraproom. Papa (hubby) took Charlie to the movies so we got to enjoy some uninterrupted play time! Here’s a look at the page I created of that little man.

I LOVE this picture of Charlie! This was taken at the Trees of Mystery when they took a family vacation to the coast. I used the Rooted in Nature Bundle, the Celebrate You Thinlits, the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and my Cricut to create the title. The title is actually what he says to me when he leaves. We haven’t figured out where the Tin Can came from, but oh well, it’s one of those endearments that will be a cherished memory forever. When I was done creating this I thought about the sentiment from the Amazing Life stamp set that I used on today’s project and that that would have been perfect for this, but that’s okay, I’ll use it on my next layout. 🙂

So are you ready to see the first look at this week’s Product of the Week? I love this new bundle, not only for the cute stamp set, but those amazing Stitched Rectangle Framelits! This was one of the first bundles I purchased when we were allowed to pre-order items. Here are the measurements for today’s project:

  • Card base in Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black cardstock layer cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 3 1/8″ x 4 1/2″
  • Gingham Gala DSP cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut with the 3″ x 4 3/8″ framelit

This is another one of those “made from scraps” cards. Don’t you love it when you can use them up? I adhered the DSP to the Basic Black layer, then both to the card base. Don’t you just love that Designer Series Paper?!? Next I stamped the sentiment in Memento Ink and then cut it out. I used the Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the word, then added some Wink of Stella. Once that was done, I adhered it to the Basic Black layer and grabbed that cute ruffled ribbon. I wrapped it around and tied it in a bow. I added some dimensionals and then adhered it to the card front. Next I added some of the Faceted Dots and voila! Done!! Didn’t it turn out cute?

I love the color combination and I’m really going to be sad when the Lemon Lime Twist retired at the end of May. If you love this color like I do, get your supplies now because once the Retired List is announced these items will go fast.
