Happy CASE-ing Tuesday and hello July! I hope your week is going well, especially since we have a holiday this week. If this is your first time visiting my site, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you seen what we are casing (copy and share everything) this week over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? With a busy week ahead, quick and easy is the perfect card to case! Since summer is full swing, I chose the Sunrise Sailing stamp set for my take this week.

I did follow all of the measurements for my take this week. I started with a Misty Moonlight card base and added a my strip of Neutrals DSP in Misty Moonlight with some Stampin’ Seal adhesive. I flagged the end with a retired punch to really make it quick and easy. The sample card shows a stamping technique of stamping with our acrylic blocks, but I chose to watercolor. I cut a piece of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and washed on some Misty Moonlight, Daffodil Delight and Timid Tiger with a water painter brush. I don’t watercolor enough, so I really enjoyed creating this layer. Next I stamped the water, the boat and sails in Night of Navy ink. I then attached it to the card base with Seal. I trimmed a scrap of Basic White to the sentiment strip measurements and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy. I added some Seal to the back and added some Linen Thread to it. I then added it all to the card base with dimensionals. For my bling, I sprinkled on some of the Opal Rounds Assortement dots in yellow and blue.

For the inside I stamped the sentiment and added a 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of the DSP to at 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope. Since I didn’t have enough DSP to decorate the envelope flap, I just stamped the sentiment.

Isn’t that the perfect card to give someone that is celebrating a summer time event? Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample or sketch and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to create your way with your style. We would love to have you join us!
