Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I wanted to share one of the cards we made at my Catalog Launch and BOGO Sale Party. This is one of the new stamps in the 2016/2017 Annual Catalog. When I first saw it during our pre-order, I thought “meh” it’s ok. Then of course I saw a bunch of really cute cards made it with it and….here we are….lol.
I wanted it to look like a real pineapple so I went with a sponging technique. I started with some Delightful Dijon and sponged right on the stamp and then did the same to the leaves with Cucumber Crush. I then stamped it on a piece of Whisper White. I used a sponge dauber with some Chocolate Chip and just touched it in spots. After I was satisfied with that I cut it out by hand. Before I added Stampin’ Dimensionals I shaped it a little to give it a more rounded effect so it would look more 3-D. Then I added some Linen Thread and a Rhinestone. I used the new Thoughtful Banners stamp set and Duet Banner Punch for the sentiment. That is a fun little bundle and I foresee using it a lot. I then layered it on Whisper White, Delightful Dijon, and Chocolate Chip for the card base.
Here’s a couple of pictures of the party. Everyone had a good time stamping and catching up on girlfriend time.
And what’s a party without some goodies? When you have this much fun baking and decorating for these parties, you really can’t call it work. I love this job and can’t wait to start doing this full time beginning July 1st.
If you are falling in love with this stamp set as much as I am, you can head over to my online store here to get yours today.
Well, I thank you for stopping by tonight. Come back tomorrow for a sneak peek of a project we’ll be making this Friday night. Have a great evening!
